So i made a custom tank music VPK, but encountered 2 problems
1. One of my files is too long so it loops mid-music, i am sure this can't be fixed though
2. My finale tank music file is too short, which means that it will stop playing completely and will replay after a while of silence
Is there a way to fix these problems?

i am sorry, but you cant fix them.
the sounds need to have the ecaxt same lenght.

It's like everyone has forgotten about the sound mod maker.
It's somewhere on the site, I can't guarantee that it'll loop properly, you have to figure that out yourself, using an audio editor or something.

Maybe if you got another program you could cut/trim the audio to be the exact length.

You can actually just keep longer files in
They won't mess up, they'll just loop back mid-way, which is what i am trying to prevent

If you are making a general music replacement... it must match the length of the sound it is replacing...
It will loop when it is supposed to... so longer sounds will have the loop occur during the music... and shorter sounds will have a gap till the loop happens...

You can not avoid this if you are only making a stand alone sound mod... it must match the original time or it WON'T loop correctly...

i wrote a exact explaination somewhere in the forum. too long sound will end up with a "cracking" ath the point where it loops / ends

Doktor Haus has got an alternative way to do it, however the 'sound.cache' file can conflict if redistributed to others(for personal mods it's fine)
